GIMP on OS X
GIMP on OS X
A rather bad bug has crept into the 2.6.9 release of GIMP. Clicking on any scrollbar arrows crashed the application. This is now fixed in this new version 2.6.10.
Unfortunately, there were two other bugs in the 2.6.9 build. Python didn‘t work properly and if you use a graphic tablet, you might have noticed, that some dialogs would only work once, and will loose focus when they are opend for the second time. Both issues could be fixed, although I had to downgrade GTK+ to the old version, which was used in the previous releases of GIMP.
So I recommend you to download the new 2.6.10 release.
BTW, the donwgrade to an old GTK+ version might lead to some trouble if the 2.8 series of GIMP will be released. The upcoming GIMP depends on a newer GTK+ library (2.18 or higher). So, if the GTK+ guys get this focus issus fixed, tablets will work properly in future versions, otherwise you have to set the focus every time to the dialog by clicking first on any other GIMP window and then on the dialog window...
